Hoyte’s team wins local ‘Family Fued’ competition

Sales and Marketing Manager at MQI Margaret Hoyte, second from right, with from left, Beverley Franklin-Brewer, Grace Moore, Muriel Stoute and Sylthia Franklin, right.

A ‘Hot Five’, or five too hot to handle.

Those were some of the comments made at a recently-held Family Day of the Franklin family at Oughterson, St.Philip.

The annual event brought together not only the family,  but friends and well wishers for a day of fun and games, coordinated by cousins, Rochelle and Deidre Franklin,  the hostesses of the day-long exercise.

But it was the family’s version of the American GSN Network’s comedy Family Fued,  that drew the most interest and attention as a female team led by McEnearneyQuality Inc, (MQI) Sales and Marketing Manager, Margaret Hoyte whipped the men’s side in an exciting game of whit and wisdom.

Coming ahead of Sol Rally Barbados, some insiders were overheard saying that Hoyte was setting the tone for what was to happen the following weekend as a Ford team made up of Jeff Panton and Mike Fennell (Jr) of Jamaica, drove away with top honours for the second time in as many years.

“Like Ford, we proved ourselves”, Hoyte quipped after the presentation.

And after a debriefing the stage is set for next year’s event.
