New Kia Cerato focuses on raising standards

Competition in the compact sedan segment of Barbados’ new car market has heated up with the launch of the new 2015 Kia Cerato, seen as a key pillar in its parent company’s goal of raising motoring standards worldwide.

In keeping with this objective, the brand has just launched its “Raise your Standards” campaign in Barbados with a view to demonstrating how Kia’s quality and competitiveness continue its transformation from the automobile world’s most improved player to its most valuable.

“Barbadians, for very valid economic reasons, have been largely focused on price-point when looking at a new car purchase. While we are also very competitive on price, our Raise Your Standards campaign really seeks to draw the market’s attention to issues of quality in design, engineering and particularly the cutting-edge standard features that come with every Kia Cerato,” said Margaret Hoyte, Sales and Marketing Manager, McEnearney Quality Inc.

CEO Alex MacKenzie added that Kia had generally redefined what Barbadians understood as a fully-loaded vehicle.

“Cerato’s standard features go way beyond the traditional power-steering, windows and air-conditioning; and we believe customers will be pleased to see features like keyless entry, push-button start, rear-view camera, and even adjustable driving modes inclusive of comfort, normal and sport.”

Noting the brand has also been receiving accolades and expert recognition worldwide for its overall quality, MacKenzie said customers in Barbados were not the only ones falling in love with Kia’s style, quality, and feature count.

Kia Cerato was recently ranked fifth in a “Car and Driver” list of the top 25 compact sedans, beating every single one of the other-dealer competitors available in Barbados, and the overall brand was sixth among brands on this year’s J.D. Power & Associates’ closely watched Initial Quality Study.

Locally, McEnearney Quality is backing this strong vote of confidence in Kia Cerato with a full five-year warranty on new vehicles.

“So what we are saying to Barbadians is simple – raise your standards. Come test-drive the 2015 Kia Cerato and see for yourself why these reputable international reviewers have placed Kia Cerato ahead of the competition,” said MacKenzie.
